The energy-intensive sector is one of the key areas that must address the European Union’s climate policy. Industry has been burdened with various systems aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including the emissions trading system (ETS). In addition to the direct burden on industry through allowances for process emissions, every energy-intensive consumer incurs significant costs related to indirect greenhouse gas emissions, which are passed on in the cost of acquiring electricity. Within industrial sectors, certain areas have been identified as particularly vulnerable to the risk of production relocation outside the European Union. The system designed to address these risks is the compensation system for energy-intensive sectors and subsectors. The ENIM Institute project team annually supports a significant number of beneficiaries of this program. We provide comprehensive support to prepare entities for this process, as well as manage the entire procedure.
Additionally, to maintain competitiveness in global markets, the energy-intensive and industrial sectors are seeking to implement the same legal frameworks in Poland as in other EU countries, aimed at reducing costs related to the consumption of electricity, natural gas, and fuels within the production process. We support our clients at every stage of obtaining support related to high electricity, natural gas, and fuel prices.
